Meet the Doctors
Dr. Evan Adams with his family
Evan C. Adams, DDS
I am thrilled to carry forward Dr. Glen Bruenjes’ legacy of high-quality, comprehensive dental care across the street from Stratford High School. I came to Houston in 1999 to attend Rice University, after growing up in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia. Houston has always been my second home – my mother graduated from Spring Woods High School, and my family spent summers visiting my grandparents in Spring Branch, where they lived after my grandfather’s retirement from Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
At Rice, I fell in love with Veronica Flores, a fellow student from the Rio Grande Valley; she became a great reason to stay in Texas after I graduated! We will celebrate our sixteenth wedding anniversary this year. In my first career, I taught high school history at Barbara Jordan High School in HISD, and then taught in Bryan, Texas and Columbia, Missouri, where Veronica and I lived while she attended veterinary school at Texas A&M and residency at the University of Missouri.
After I graduated summa cum laude from dental school at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Veronica and I were excited to return to Houston. I practiced dentistry in Cypress for several years before taking over Dr. Bruenjes’ practice in 2019. Veronica is a veterinarian in Houston. We spend most of our time outside the office playing with toy trucks and visiting playgrounds with our sons: Matthew, who is six, and Daniel, who is four.
I look forward to meeting you and caring for your dental health!
Sincerely,
Evan Adams

I originally opened this dental office in September of 1976. Sometime after, I first met you! The practice has enjoyed the continuity of being in the same location for over 43 years. Nothing has changed…and everything has changed! The office has been transformed as we have kept pace with technology to deliver the best materials and take advantage of the digital age of dentistry. I have had the privilege of working with many skilled and loyal staff members and currently enjoy the support of the best dental team in the history of my career. Together, Cindy, Taylor, and Karina represent 27 years of experience serving you!
Blessed with this exceptionally long career span, a few years ago I began to prepare the dental practice and myself for the next phase of my professional life. The preparation included a complete renovation of the office space in 2015, with the addition of another treatment room designed with my next career in mind. My goal was to find an exceptionally qualified person to assume the legacy of excellent restorative services we have offered to date and for me to continue to be of service.
Next, I began to interview qualified candidates for my successor, a search that spanned the better part of three years. My selection had to be a good match for the staff, exceed the expectations of our patients, and be the kind of person I would want to be my dentist! I am pleased that Evan Adams became that person. We crafted this transition for nearly a year. I am impressed with the maturity he brings to the practice and thrilled with how well he communicates the vision we share for careful and considerate treatment planning and excellence in treatment delivery. He has been committed to providing you with uninterrupted dental service and continuing the legacy of comprehensive dental care you have enjoyed in the practice.
This is not “goodbye to Dr. Bruenjes”! I still maintain regular hours in the office with my focus on adult orthodontic needs and treatment of sleep apnea with oral appliances. I welcome the opportunity to help you with these services if appropriate, but even if you are not in need of these services, I look forward to seeing your smiles as you continue your dental care here in the practice. The best way I can thank you for your confidence and loyalty to me is to leave you in the good hands of Dr. Evan Adams.
Sincerely,
Glen L. Bruenjes
